Concord Taxpayers Association is a bipartisan group of Concord citizens who have come together to provide information and guidance on issues that are important to Concord voters. Subjects we will cover include city and school government, legislation proposed at the state level, and the tax cap initiative.
Charles G. Douglas, III – Co-Chairman
Chuck is the founding parter of the Douglas, Leonard and Garvey Law Firm in Concord. Prior to founding the firm, Chuck served as legal counsel to then-Governor Meldrim Thomson, Jr. in 1973 -1974. He was appointed as a Superior Court Judge from 1974 – 1976. In 1977, Chuck became one of the youngest New Hampshire Supreme Court Justices, serving until 1985. Chuck served as a Congressman in the United States House of Representatives, Second District, in 1989 -1990.
Anthony Schinella – Co-Chairman
Tony is an editor at the Belmont Citizen-Herald in Massachusetts who also writes the blog Politizine.com. Schinella has been involved with Democratic, independent and progressive campaigns, including two presidential campaigns for Ralph Nader and U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy’s 1994 campaign.
